• Can I rent SKATE WORLD or SKATE COUNTRY privately? – Yes! We offer private events on select days of the week. Most common times are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Sunday evenings.   • How far in advance do I need to make party reservations? –

    • You may reserve parties online up to two days before your desired date. If you reserve at least 2 weeks in advance you will have the best selection of times.

    • We usually ask you to make a Private Parties reservation a week in advance, but we can accommodate last minute requests if the time is available.

FOOD

  • Do you sell food? – Yes! We have a complete Snack Bar serving Great Pizza, Hot Dogs, Pretzels, Nachos, Popcorn, Chips and a variety of candies. We also offer Pepsi products and Monster energy drinks.

  • Can I bring in food from the outside? – The only outside food/drinks we allow during our open skating session is a birthday cake, cookie cake, or cupcakes IF you have reserved a PLAY, PIZZA, or SKATE PARTY PACKAGE. Outside food is allowed when booking a Private “VIP Birthday” package with a $50 catering charge. We offer a pizza buffet option or individual pizzas as well for private parties.

ADMISSION QUESTIONS

  • Do you charge for parents to watch? – We charge a $5.00 spectator's fee to all adults accompanying skaters; it includes a Large Drink with a spectator ticket.

  • If my friends are coming to skate, do I need to pay if I’m only going to hang out? – Everyone entering must pay the applicable admission and/or skate rental fee, even if you are not skating as you are adding to the capacity in the building that could prevent a skater from being able to enter.

  • Do you offer group rates? – Yes! Please visit our group information page.

  • Do I need to be concerned about music selections? No! All our music is screened, however our allowed music is wider after 7pm on weekends. If you find a song objectionable, please notify a manager and we will move to the next song! After 7pm on Friday and after 5 pm on Saturday evenings a wider pop selection is played.

  • May I drop off my child at the skating rink?

    • Friday 7-10 pm, all skaters 16 and younger who do not have their own skate must have an accompanying parent (Age 18 and up) at all times.

    • Skaters 11 and younger must have an accompanying parent (Age 18 and up) present at all times with or without skates for all public skating sessions.

RENTAL SKATES

  • What size skates do you rent? – From juvenile size 8-9 to adult size 14 (quad only).

  • Can I bring my own skates? – Yes. We allow all kinds of regular roller skates and inline skates. We do ask that they be kept clean & hand carried into and out of Skate World or Skate Country and not worn in where they could track dirt onto the rink. Additionally skates must be in good working order without missing wheels or broken parts.

  • Can I wear my Heelys? – Sorry, because Heelys do not have wheels in the front and back and are not intended for “roller skating” they are not permitted.

  • Do you sell skates and equipment? – ABSOLUTELY! We have a wide variety of skates in stock AND you can order skates in our full service skate shop!

ROLLER SKATING

  • What goes on at a public skating session? – Most sessions are set-up with a variety of special skates: All-Skate, Backwards, Couples. During daytime or family-oriented sessions we also do the Hokey Pokey, Limbo, other skate games and give prizes.

  • If my child doesn’t skate well, can I walk on the floor to assist him/her? – During public skating sessions we allow parents to enter the skating floor in shoes to assist their children. We also rent out SK8 Mates. (The SkateMate is a great product to help kids learn to skate on their own. They are available for $5 rental for each hour.)

  • Where can I get lessons for my child? – There are a variety of education options through our certified skate instructors. We offer weekly classes on noon Saturdays (Waco), and adult lessons on Thursdays 7-8pm (Waco). We also offer periodic intensive Skate Camps that are a full week long. Check our Hours and Pricing for skate class times. No reservation is necessary for walk-in classes. Just show up and learn!! Children 3 and up are encouraged to attend. There is so much to learn!!

PAYMENT

  • What forms of payment do you allow? – Cash, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We also accept Apple Pay and CashApp payments.

  • Do you have an ATM? – Sorry, we do not. But there is one nearby each of our locations.

  • Can I pay with a check? – Sorry, we do not accept personal checks. We do accept checks from schools, corporations, and other non-profit organizations.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Do you sell Gift Certificates? – Yes. They can be purchased anytime the office is open or during public sessions. You can purchase gift cards in any denomination. You may also purchase e-gift cards that are reloadable and available to use at either location by clicking here.

  • Will you donate something to my child’s school auction? – Yes! SKATE WORLD or SKATE COUNTRY is happy to donate products/services to non-profits. Please fill out our Donation and Fundraising Request. The courtesy of at least one months notice is kindly requested.

  • Does SKATE WORLD or SKATE COUNTRY do cash sponsorships? – Yes! Any non-profit is eligible to do a fundraiser with us once per quarter.

  • Can I use my laptop and go online at SKATE WORLD or SKATE COUNTRY?– Yes, we offer free WiFi service to our customers and their guests.
